With a population of 3,517,000, Panama has a literacy rate of 94 percent in urban areas and 62 percent in rural areas. The total church membership of the Methodist Church in Panama reaches about 2,000, where Bishop Pablo Morales is the leader. The Institute of Pan America (IPA) is the leading Methodist-related educational institution, enrolling 3,800. Forty percent of Panama’s workforce graduated from IPA, where offerings include a five-year elementary education, a four-year secondary education and technical and vocational education at the high school level. The school emphasizes Christian values and the English language.

WITH YOUR HELP… IPA is in the process of developing a second campus and considering the possibility of investing in higher education.
