Nicaragua is a nation in repair, slowly rebuilding its infrastructure after suffering many years of war. Of the 5.4 million residents, about two-thirds are literate. The nation lives under extreme poverty, with 40 percent of its inhabitants living on less than $1 a day. The entire nation is in a state of survival.
The Methodist Church consists of 14 local churches with 700 members. Among six pastors, one has a master’s degree, four have high school diplomas and one has finished elementary school. Currently, there is no Methodist educational project in existence – but with your help, we can change that. The church’s strategic plan for 2009-2012 includes securing land and a building for a Methodist Center for K-12 education.
WITH YOUR HELP… The people of Nicaragua can build the educational facility they so desperately need.
