For more than a century, Methodist higher education institutions in the Philippines have produced Christian leaders who have made a difference around the world. Union Theological Seminary and Harris Memorial College in Manila were established in 1907. Most of the seminary students come from farming areas or agricultural regions. Their cultures are strongly tied to the land. Your generosity is at work in a variety of ways throughout this country. We are working to organize specialized workshops for college, university and seminary presidents. We are conducting studies for the potential installation of a radio station that will share lifesaving information for those living in remote areas. A computer lab is being built at the Wesleyan College of Manila to enhance distance-learning opportunities, and campus ministries training is being offered through a partnership with the Division of Higher Education of the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry. With your support, we can continue to expand this network and provide opportunities to thousands living in remote sections of the Philippines.
